This is NOT an “air gun”, this is a non-firing, not made to fire, never has fired, incapable of firing, never will fire, impossible to fire, don’t even think about taking this to make war, dummy. Dummy Wooden Training Rifle. Blaze orange plug permanently attached. FOR US DOMESTIC SALE ONLY. And Kadet Trainers, over 60 of’em. So you can be comfortable with this offering. This should be my 70th one to sell. This is a WW2 US Government contracted piece manufactured in 1943 for the US Navy by PARRIS-DUNN CORP of CLARINDA, IOWA for which they were awarded the. “E” award for war time production efficiency. This P-D Trainer had been disassemble, varnished, and all the metal work has been show quality chrome plated, even the small screws too , long before I. I have been doing custom Harleys since 1967 and can attest that this is not the lower quality bumper shop chrome or nickel plating. All of it is in great shape save the butt plate which has most certainly seen service hitting the deck for many years and shows wear and surface rust. All the rest of the chrome work is bright and shiny without rust though this is hard to show in the photographs, trust me, it is all nice. No personal, nor unit markings. There are no cracks or splits showing, nor any repairs. Marked on the steel butt plate “DUMMY TRAINING RIFLE”/ MARK 1 U. Quite nice for it’s 70+ year age….. This is not a “clicker” trigger: The bolt cycles normally and cocks the patented trigger/hammer assembly, which will then “snap” for simulated dry firing when pulled, but only after the bolt has been cycled. The flip-up, adjustable rear sight is intact. Complete with a white finished M 1907 leather parade sling with brass fittings. This Trainer will mount its designated Mk1 plastic training bayonet, also M-1905 and M1 bayonets designed for the’03 Springfield and Garand rifles too. It does not have a wooden barrel, nor simulated, painted on, front & mid bands like some other trainers you often see on the Bay, but rather an American hard wood stock with all real steel hardware. It is 70+ years old, and they just don’t make’em no more….. I rate it: 100% Complete , and 99% for Surface Condition & Finish. An original WW2 piece that has been refinished and dressed up for parade duty and will display quite well…. A great gift, a really nice keeper, a wall hanger, in collector/display/museum quality… Drill Rifle – Any device having the same general shape and weight of a military firearm that has no. Movable parts or functional sights, or an obsolete military firearm that has been modified to prevent it. From firing live ammunition. Training Rifle – A replica of a current military rifle, having movable parts and functional sights. Which can simulate the functions of that firearm but cannot fire live ammunition, or a current or similar. Military rifle that has been modified to the degree that prevents it from firing live ammunition. It should be apparent that a Training Rifle can be used for drill instruction but a Drill Rifle is not. Appropriate for rifle training. > > > Three day no questions asked inspection/return privilege. But if you break it, and then don’t want it…. Too bad, I will not accept return of damaged goods. Tracking is included, no extra charge…..
